AGAINST IMAGE BASED SEXUAL ABUSE
Uldouz Wallace was discovered by John Singleton and have starred in Dane Cooks, Good Luck Chuck, Renee Zellwegers, Case 39, L Word and many more films and tv series. She received over 20 Awards for her short film “Hacked” which was executive produced, written and starred by her. Hacked brought awareness to people about the effects of being a victim of hacking and leaking of private images and videos.
Uldouz Wallace is a survivor of the 2014 iCloud Hack/Leak, her private images and a video was hacked by a predator that later auctioned & leaked them to the internet which later was shared on all the adult sites without her consent and completely taking away her basic human rights. These horrifying set of events completely destroyed her bright future to success.
On top of this, all of Uldouz’s sponsors started canceling their contracts, claiming they didn’t want to be associated with her brand and wanted to go in another direction.
In the search for a solution to her problem, Uldouz realized that the people in charge of providing the solution were not doing it because if they prevented sensitive data from being shared over the networks they would stop making millions of dollars in profit.
After 7 years of making DMCA takedown requests, Uldouz was able to get in touch with the head of marketing at a well-known porn site where she was informed that they would implement the fingerprint stamp system on their video.
“I asked them what the fingerprint stamp system is, and they told me it’s a technology that scans the video in advance and doesn’t allow anyone to upload it. I asked why they hadn’t implemented this technology on my video before and they told me they only do it for a ‘select few’ who are connected and “sometimes” to cases of child sexual abuse.” Uldouz says.
Through experience Uldouz Wallace realized the imbalance between technology and the current laws and how they need to be updated to protect the future of children, women & men, that’s when she decided to change the law, she reached out to several senators and non profit organizations and created The Protect Act Federal Bill, several State Bills as well as a Global Coalition with UKs Cyber Helpline , she testified at Capitol Hill and is currently an Advisor for White House Task Force regarding Image Based Sexual Abuse and she also started her non profit 501(c)3 Foundation Ra and the movement #protectmyimage to help victims of image based abuse with better resources, changing the culture and stigma surrounding digital violence.
